Oral Health Advocacy Initiative – OHAI is a Non-Governmental Organization headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria, and registered with relevant ministries, agencies, and departments in Nigeria and beyond. As a dynamic health organization, OHAI has worked in over 750 communities on health intervention projects especially in oral health-related challenges, using the methods of mobilization, communication, and awareness for preventive measures; as well as carrying out surgeries of cleft lip and palate.
Our activities include advocacy targeting at policymakers at all levels of governance, periodic outreach activities to schools, communities and the media, consultancy services in health-related issues, and connecting the needy to donors in order to bring health services closer to the grassroots. We also carry out regular capacity building courses in areas related to oral health delivery and management of general health conditions for health security and sustainability in Africa.

We create a better tomorrow
To make oral health care delivery available, accessible and affordable to the citizenry by increasing government and community awareness on the challenges of oral health care delivery through advocacy for the establishment of policies that will address these issues in Africa.
Oral health advocacy initiative (OHAI) shall seek to create public consciousness in oral health that results in comprehensive oral health care delivery in Africa through advocacy, strategies partnership initiatives, community mobilization, oral health education, consultation, and treatment of oral-facial diseases.
We provide surgical and medical care for poor and underserved communities in Africa. Life-changing operations are performed at zero cost for patient and patient families.
We train local medical professionals and caregivers to strengthen the healthcare system by improving the skills and capacity of surgical teams and support services in local hospitals.
We network with the local people and communities to create discourse and working relationships for sustainable health security in Africa.
